Kay and I thoroughly enjoyed our day with you on Mull Aug. 2nd. Even though the weather didn't cooperate as we all would have liked, the help and guidance you provided were fun and enlightening. I enjoyed our conversations about teaching photography and our similar approaches concerning instruction.

I would like to say how much we enjoyed your company and Bridget's during our stay. Your guest house is very comfortable and ideally situated by the beach and close to Ben More, Iona and the Treshnish Islands. I personally learnt an enormous amount about photography and in particular how to compose and capture images I would never have taken before! I would thoroughly recommend anyone who is a beginner, intermediate, or advanced student, who wants to get a practical 'insiders' view on photography, to book a trip with you.

If you have an interest in photography, at whatever level, then I would highly recommend joining Tony for one of his days out. I was on Mull for a holiday with the family for one week and really wanted to have another pair of eyes to comment on my photography. But what to do with the family who would probably get bored very quickly (well, the 4 year old and the 12 year old at least!)? Easy.....take one of Tony’s “Family Adventure” days. He took us to places which the boys could enjoy too (e.g. beaches) where Tony and I would talk shop and take photos. With fantastic weather, lunch on the beach (the boys enjoyed collecting driftwood for Tony’s kettle), wonderful scenery and Tony telling us lots of interesting facts about the area, we all had a brilliant and memorable day out. Thank you Tony, and we look forward to coming back soon. We miss the islands already.....

I cannot think of a better way to spend 5 days holiday in June this year than taking a photographic course at the "Power House" with Tony and Bridget. Great hospitaility and expert tuition coupled with some of the most stunning scenery, settings and wildlife. With Tony's careful and thourough approach to teaching from basic to more advanced, I am delighted with the results I am now able to acheive in my photography. Thank you.

I have just had the most amazing time of my life, Lucky enough to have an imaginative wife who sent me off to Carsaig as a Christmas present. Words fail to describe what a beautiful location this is, I had a wonderful time with Tony and Bridget, I was very well looked after the food was great (including fresh local mussels). I was so lucky with the weather with some moody stuff and then a rich blue sky on the following day which helped the photography. We saw amazing sites eagles, (golden and sea) deer birds of all shapes and sizes and more waterfalls then you can photo in a day just a few miles fro the house and went to great locations to practice my photography skills. I find Tony a wonderful instructor I was anxious about being exposed (excuse the pun) but he is calm thoughtful and instructive, there was often a lot to laugh about (taking a lens cap off really does improve your photos!!!!) but I have learnt so much and have the ability to use stuff I had not thought of using before (filters really do add atmosphere). I am proud of some of the shots I have taken and I will be back for more.
If you are thinking about a photo course in Carsaig do not think about it just do it.

I cannot recommend the 6 day course highly enough. Above all it has given me the confidence and enthusiasm to take photography seriously. I clicked with Tony from the start when he drummed into me basic principles of good photography and never let me forget them. He is an excellent tutor: calm, interested in you and never losing patience as I repeated my mis...takes. Each day was perfectly balanced, from “classroom” in the morning to practice in many exquisite settings of Mull and a critique of my shots in the evening. As the week wore on I was amazed at what was increasingly my own work.
Added to this is the very warm welcome from Tony and Bridget to the Powerhouse: very comfortable and a real home from home. Excellent meals and nothing was too much trouble. And it is in the most stunning and romantic setting of the many I saw on the island.
